Jarrod McKeown
DIRECTOR
Jarrod has worked in the asbestos industry for 30 Years. Starting Ceiling Restorations Ltd in 1994 specialising in the removal of friable ceiling textures in thousands of family homes and businesses around the North Island. To reflect his expertise in the removal of all friable asbestos a name change to AR Plus was introduced in 2018. The continuing success of the company and its rapid, but controlled, growth has lead inevitably to an ongoing requirement for quality supervisory and management. Jarrod, who has extensive experience and knowledge of the asbestos industry, uses his exceptional communication and organisational skills to motivate and manage the increasing number of removal operatives being employed by the company. He regularly carries out site audits, to ensure each of its sites is operating in compliance with the “Health and Safety at Work Act 2015”, Health and Safety at Work (Asbestos) Regulations 2016, and “in-house“ company procedures. A passionate sportsman sees Jarrod coach a number of sports teams in his spare time, as well as travelling with Amy and their 3 awesome kids.
Amy McKeown
DIRECTOR
Amy, who happens to be bossman Jarrod’s ‘other half’. Having a background in Wedding Planning and owning her own Florist shop Amy has learnt how to problem solve, keep people happy, become resilient and delegate. Bringing these skills into the Business has helped mould AR PLUS into what it is today. Travel is something that we have started to enjoy. This is made possible by having 3 amazing children that support us and have also enjoyed the travel with us sometimes as well! In my downtime I love to read and watch
movies.
Claudia McKeown
Office and Accounts Manager
Office Extraordinaire Claudia McKeown and daughter of the bosses has recently taken over the role of the previous manager Mags. Although new to the job Claudia has seen first hand all the ups and downs to the business. Claudia’s main role at AR Plus is looking after the accounts as well as constructing ARCP’s, SSSP’s, and Worksafe documentation. In her spare time Claudia likes exercising with her partner and spending time with friends and family.
Terri Sullivan
Office Assistant
New kid on the block Terri is our office assistant, bringing more to the table than most. Terri has a degree in Bachelor of Business majoring in Management and Human Resources along with many other certificates such as Te Reo Māori. At AR Plus she is responsible for implementing new systems to all areas to create a better workflow, creating ARCP’s, payroll and anything else the office staff need assistance with. In her spare time Terri likes to knit, chase after her kids, and spend time with her husband.
Louise Turner
Environmental, Health and Safety Coordinator
The ‘boss’ of the workplace Louise keeps everyone in line, making sure all health and safety requirements are met at every job and at the yard, nothing gets past Lou! Louise has been at AR Plus for a year now and in that time, she has not only got us through our yearly Telarc audits, made sure our site wise and SHE certificates are up to date, and staff have adequate training, she has also brought her positive smiley attitude. In her spare time Lou likes to spend time with her family whether that be going to Great Barrier Island where she has a holiday home or travelling around the country to see her kids.
Carl Vujnovich
SALES MANAGER
After spending years building a business, he decided to take a year off work to spend time with his family, Carl then joined the AR Plus team in September 2023. In his time here Carl has been out on the road almost every day bringing in work from all over the central north island, growing our business so much we have had to employ more people in all service areas to accommodate the huge influx of work. Carl has a huge part in our recent success and growth, we are excited to see what he can bring to the future of AR Plus. In his spare time Carl enjoys spending time cooking, gardening and going on walks with his wife and 5 kids.
Ken McDonald
Asbestos Operations Manager
Born and raised in Tauranga, Ken joined the AR Plus team 1.5 years ago bringing in 18 years of previous roofing experience and high-density residential site development. Ken puts his heart and soul into AR Plus to ensure we grow and succeed, we would not be where we are today without his hard work. When Ken isn’t looking after the asbestos team, he is either hunting, fishing, or diving with his partner and 4 daughters.
Callum Lee
Painting and Plastering Operations Manager
Hi there! Callum here.
After spending over 10 years on the tools painting, and 5 years running my own company, I have now jumped on at AR Plus as Plastering and Painting Operations manager to continue developing and growing my skills in the industry. Although you may still catch me on the tools sometimes, my normal day is spent liaising with clients, quoting potential work, and managing our Plastering and Painting team to ensure quality of work and efficiency over projects. When I’m not wearing the AR Plus colours, I enjoy hunting, fishing and anything outdoors. My two sons get me out of bed in the morning (literally and figuratively) and I’m a big believer in putting myself in uncomfortable positions to make everyday life seem like a breeze. After all, pressure makes diamonds baby! Really glad to be part of the amazing team here at AR Plus.
